It was a phenomenal piece of flying!  The Blackbird took off and twice flew round in a tight circle and landed back on the same piece of fence.

The Gardener witnessed the flight and encouraged the Blackbird to take off again, as he was stopping him from digging the garden.

Mistress of the Mist

The mistress of the mist shrouds our towns, cities and minds, and makes invisible the scenic views of all kinds.
The Moon senses the world and wants to know why it’s upside down and from that distance notes a circus clown.
The clouds waft across a coloured orange and red sky, hoping that some sensibility will prevail and curious minds pry.
Generations of different races disappear from the globe, as a plume of smoke and a blinding flash causes a slow motion strobe.
Will the world renew and love show a different way, and perhaps having learnt a bitter lesson begin again one sunny day.

The Snow Queen lays her white dust
on landscape green
while Jack Frost’s crisp footsteps stride mirrored
ice patterns on lakes serene

Does this sound funny to you?

A curious mind finds a funny verse

For a word chosen from a book

This torment was made worse

GOOD MORNING MR MAGPIE!

GOOD MORNING MR MAGPIE!

Good morning Mr Magpie!

It’s a lovely day,
the sky is blue,
you can see across the bay,
the sea a constant hue.

Good morning Mr Magpie!

There’s a freshness in the air,
the countryside is green,
this view I cannot compare,
to any realistic dream.
